Courtney Reece, MACP Student Clinician
Courtney Reece is a student clinician in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program, with over six years of frontline experience in social services and mental health settings.
She holds a diploma in Community and Justice Services and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and has worked extensively with children, youth, and families across child protection, Indigenous community programs, transitional housing, addictions, and school based mental health services.
Courtney’s therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and trauma informed. She strives to create a safe, non judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and respected. Her work is informed by cognitive behavioural therapy, DBT informed skills, mindfulness, and strengths based approaches. She also incorporates gentle body awareness and nervous system regulation strategies to support grounding and emotional regulation.
Courtney currently offers supportive counselling to individuals navigating anxiety, trauma, identity exploration, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm.
