Alyx Treasure, MC (In Progress), OLY
Alyx is a practicum therapist completing her Masters of Counselling and offers a supportive, down-to-earth space for healing and growth. With her own lived experience navigating chronic illness and a background in health advocacy, she deeply understands the toll that stress, anxiety, loss, and relationship struggles can take.
Alyx helps clients who feel stuck in cycles of self-criticism, perfectionism, self-doubt, and overwhelm to find new ways forward. She draws on approaches like
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) ~ focus on mindful self-acceptance and values
- Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) ~ focus on changing negative beliefs and unhealthy patterns, solution-focused strategies, and
- Self-compassion practices.
Alyx brings a trauma-informed, person-centred approach grounded in genuine curiosity and care.
Alyx is especially passionate about creating safe, affirming spaces for people who have felt unseen, dismissed, or misunderstood. She aims to create a safe supportive space and welcomes clients who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, or living with layered identities.
Whether you’re navigating a diagnosis, moving through life changes, or simply wanting to feel more like yourself again, Alyx is here to walk alongside you on your journey to wholeness and healing.
